Presbyterian Medical Services works collaboratively with community groups, school districts, local providers, hospitals and governments at every level. They develop programs and services that meet the needs of the people living within these communities. Their services include primary care, dental, behavioral health, early childhood education, supportive living, and senior programs. PMS operate approximately 100 programs in communities throughout the state. Many of the individuals served by Presbyterian Medical Services live at or below the federal poverty level.

The Mountain Center is an accredited 501(C)3 educational and therapeutic organization dedicated to promoting personal discovery and social change through the use of creative learning experiences in wilderness, community, and cultural environments. They provide the following services: a Therapeutic Adventure Program (TAP); the Emergence Program for Native and Pueblo communities; NM GSA Network for LGBTQ2s+ youth ages 13-24; a harm reduction program; a transitional living program for women with diagnosed substance disorders; counseling; and professional development.

Stand up to Stigma offers peer support groups and behavioral health resources in the Greater Albuquerque Metropolitan and the State of New Mexico. Support groups are free and are designed by similar peers who offer support while dealing with challenges and triumphs of mood disorders and related behavioral health and medical health issues. Stand up to Stigma peer support groups offer peers a way to recovery for those with mental health issues.

Behavior Change Institute is premier provider of Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) treatment. They aim to inspire hope and improve the health and wellbeing of individuals. They facilitate, provide, and improve access to high-quality treatment options for individuals and families in rural and traditionally underserved communities. Services include ABA Services, Family Peer Support Services, support for Educators and the Military supports.

They provide behavioral health services to adults and children with emotional, behavioral, interpersonal, learning and substance abuse problems. They can help with living with the family or independently, parent/child relationships, family and peer relationships, managing behaviors, and making life choices. They can also help with substance abuse, anger management, depression and anxiety, education, employment/vocation, housing, juvenile justice involvement, mental health, and physical health.

Aprendamos Intervention Team is a therapist-run organization that serves children and families’ needs through early intervention. Team services include speech-language, occupational, physical, and family therapists. A nurse, nutritionist, family services coordinators, developmental instructions, infant massage therapists, and pediatric specialists are also available. Mental health clinicians specializing in play therapy interventions, MDMR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and more. The Autism program has 16 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and about 50 Registered Behavior Therapists (RBT).

Neuropsychological Services of New Mexico provides various clinical services to adults, children and adolescents. Their mission is to help clients achieve results through excellence in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of brain based disorders. Services may include: neuropsychological evaluations; neurobehavioral evaluations; psychological evaluations; and psychotherapy focused on psychological adjustment to neurological conditions. Additionally they provide personalized neuropsychological and psychological information and analysis to insurance providers, case managers, attorneys, health-care providers, and other professionals in order for them to make informed decisions on behalf of clients or companies.

Sandia Neuropsychology offers assessment, treatment and forensic evaluations for children and adults. Neuropsychological evaluation can be very effective in the documentation of the effects of treatment on specific deficits over time. Comparisons made between evaluations can also help to clarify the progression and course of changes in cognitive functioning (i.e., improvement or decline), which can be of interest for certain disorders.

Southwest Neuropsychology & Behavioral Health, LLC. offers: Clinical & Forensic Assessment, Psychiatry Services, Psychotherapy Services, Assistive Technology, and Occupational Therapy services.

Cottonwood Counseling provides counseling services to adults, adolescents, children and families. They specialize in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief. They provide quality outpatient mental health services with integrity, compassion, kindness, and connection. The clinicians at Cottonwood Counseling are trained in EMDR, CBT and DBT. They also utilize play therapy and sand tray therapy for children and adolescents.

Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) is available through this agency. Through the different professionals employed at this agency, this agency uses DBT, EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness in assisting clients. Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) are available through High Desert Healing. This agency also has a YouTube channel that has guided meditations, relaxation exercises, and mindfulness videos.

At PMS, they offer a wide range of therapy and treatment options. They serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Their clients come from all walks of life and all diversities. Some of their common services include providing individual, couples, family and group therapy for mental health and substance use disorders, medication evaluation and management, and crisis intervention.

It is The Community Lighthouse’s goal to promote a safe, caring, and confidential environment. A licensed clinician will do an assessment to make appropriate recommendations for treatment, and identify a highly personalized approach tailored to meet each client’s specific needs. There are a wide variety of experienced clinicians who can assist with common symptoms, such as healing trauma, relief from anxiety, reducing feelings of depression, and repairing relationships.

Provides no-cost services to families and their children/adolescents in New Mexico with mental health and/or brain injury challenges. They will work with you to find the resources, supports and information you may need. Families ASAP assist families with children aged 0-22 who have a diagnosis of a serious emotional disorder, mental illness and/or brain injury. They also assist families whose children do not have a diagnosis but are exhibiting emotional and behavioral symptoms that are interfering with daily life.

NM-ABC provides interdisciplinary, cohort-based ECHO training and professional development series with providers from around the state. They also provide a provider consultation line provides pediatric primary care providers with consultations from members of the project clinical team about care for children and adolescents with mental health concerns. NM-ABC also has an online Pediatric Behavioral Health Resource Portal containing electronic and web-based resources for pediatric primary care practices.

Faith Works goal is to allow individuals, couples, and family’s to be their best selves through systemic therapy by rooting ourselves in the belief that there is always a crisis before we can truly see the change we seek. Therapies include trauma therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, ethnic and racial identity counseling and EMDR. Within the family therapy, Faith Works can utilize parenting-Christian based therapy. They also offer marital and couples counseling that is Christian based.

Heart & Soul is dedicated to offering quality care to its clients through experienced providers and helpers. Heart and Soul provides a variety of services, which include individual, couples, family and group therapy. Group therapy includes health relationships, parenting, anger and substance use. Other services include psychiatric/medication evaluations and medication management and comprehensive community support services. For parenting and couples, Heart and Soul have multiple groups available. This incudes, co-parenting program and therapeutic parent-coaching.

Trauma Recovery Services provide counseling and assessment to improve the mental health, functioning and well-being of children and adolescents, as well as their families, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Trauma Recovery Services mental health therapy options include individual therapy, family therapy, sibling therapy and group therapy. This organization also conducts assessments and evaluations. These include comprehensive evaluation of sexual harm by youth, complex trauma evaluation and comprehensive mental health and level of care assessments.

Provides therapy, rehabilitation and support services for people in Albuquerque living with severe mental illness. The Albuquerque Indian Health Center is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. The Albuquerque Indian Health Center participate in several initiatives including Improving Patient Care, Model Diabetes Program, Patient-Centered Medical Home and Integrated behavioral health. The services provided include behavioral health, dental, diabetes care, weight loss/nutrition, women's health, well child care and optometry among many others. AIHC also provides care in the Zia Pueblo and the Santa Ana Pueblo via two Field Clinics.

BTA is a group of clinical psychologists offering individual and family psychotherapy. The providers are dedicated to providing quality clinical services and developing interventions to improve the delivery of behavioral health. The specialties of this agency are alcohol problems, anxiety disorders, chronic pain, fertility counseling, mood disorders and perinatal and postpartum adjustment. Dr. Reid Hester and Dr. William Campbell of the agency, are the co-founders of Checkup and Choices, a web-based intervention for alcohol and drug problems. This program is based on years of clinical research funded by the National Institutes of Health.

CareLink NM Health Homes Program is an integrated health care service program for Medicaid behavioral health beneficiaries with a primary condition of Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and/or Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED). The CareLink NM Health Homes Program coordinates behavioral & physical health care with community services to improve quality of care.

At Centro Sávila, the goal is to improve the mental health of our community through prevention and by ensuring access to linguistically and culturally appropriate, quality mental health services. The services are offered in English and Spanish and accessible to community members regardless of their ability to pay. Services include therapy, case management and public benefits enrollment.

Free care coordination services are available at HMS Bridges to Care, funded through CareLink NM and Bridges to Wellness programs. Care coordination services are available to all eligible Hidalgo and Grant County residents. Eligibility includes a mental health diagnosis with a physical health condition or being at risk for a physical health condition. You do not need to be an HMS patient to receive services. Care coordination includes health educators and peer support.

La Familia provides a wide range of medical, dental, behavioral health and support services to everyone in their community, regardless of income or ability to pay. Their providers and staff work together with you and your family to develop care that meets your individual needs. Their primary goal is to help every patient grow healthy and live long, productive lives.

In 2020 Border Area Mental Health Services, Southwest Counseling Center and Southern New Mexico Human Development merged into one organization. In 2021 the supportive, property holding organizations; Southern Rio Grande Mental Health Foundation and Mimbres Regional Mental Health Corporation also merged. They serve a mixed urban-rural area of southern New Mexico. The Center serves the communities of Dona Ana, Grant, Luna, Hildago and Otero Counties. There are approximately 2,000 open client cases throughout the various locations of the Center.
