Dr. Shea is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and is based at Community Regional Medical Center and the Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health. Dr. Shea received his undergraduate education at the University of Houston and his medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed residency at the University of Utah, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Resident Service to Children Award of the Utah Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics for outstanding service to high-risk children and adolescents. Before joining UCSF, he was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Utah. Dr. Shea is board certified in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Pediatrics. His areas of professional interests include Autism, Developmental disorders, AD/HD, LGBT issues, and diversity and inclusion in Psychiatric practice.
