Dr. Deborah Bilder completed the triple board residency program (Pediatrics, General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry) at the University of Utah and has maintained board certification in all three specialties. Following residency, she participated in the Utah Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (ULEND) as a pediatric trainee. Presently, she is a clinician investigator, Associate Professor (clinical track), and Medical Director of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinic and the Neurobehavior HOME Program at the University of Utah. She has worked with the directors of primary care programs for children across Utah’s Wasatch Front and with service providers to at-risk youth such as the Division of Child and Family Services, which administers Utah’s foster care program and the Children’s Center, which provides mental health care to children exposed to trauma.

Her clinical and research expertise focuses on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) epidemiology and adult outcomes of neurodevelopmental conditions. She is Principal Investigator for the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network Utah site, Director of the Utah Registry of Autism and Developmental Disabilities, and co-investigator of the 20-year Outcome of Autism study.
