Services Provided: The Navajo Preparatory School established a School-Based Health Center/Health and Wellness Center SBHC with start up funds from the New Mexico Department of Health/Office of School Health. The SBHC is a health care delivery system located on the campus in the residential dormitory--Zah Hall. The Center provides integrated primary medical care and behavioral counseling services to all students. The mission of the SBHC is to offer professional and quality medical, health and behavioral sciences to Navajo Preparatory students. Main focus is prevention of disease, health education, developing healthier lifestyles, and wellness promotion.

Services Provided: Camp Fire USA is a not-for-profit youth development organization serving youth from birth to 21 years of age. We are inclusive, open to every person in the communities we serve, welcoming children, youth and adults regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation or other aspects of diversity. Camp Fire USA's programs are designed and implemented to reduce sex-role, racial and cultural stereotypes and to foster positive intercultural relationships. The New Mexico Council has provided school age child care since 1981. In addition, we provide programs that promote self-esteem, leadership skills, and character building.Well-trained staff are key to quality youth programming. The New Mexico Council strives to provide a work environment and a salary and benefit structure which attract high-quality individuals, promote staff longevity, encourage learning, and instill loyalty and commitment to positive youth development. Generally, we provide a 12 to 1 child to staff ratio in our school-age programs. Safety of your children is one of our major concerns. Staff are interviewed by Human Resource personnel, carefully screened through reference and criminal record checks. Staff are required to attend initial orientation, First Aid and CPR training, and participate in on-going continuing education.Now offering a Summer Adventure Camp.

Saranam offers a comprehensive range of services to assist families in transitioning beyond homelessness.We work with homeless families a family, for Sananam's purposes, includes at least one adult and one child with a legal connection who have a desire and the motivation to change their lives to end their homelessness. Services Provided: The Magdalena Municipal School District is a Pre-K through 12th grade school, which is housed on a single campus. MMSD has a multicultural student population of 357. The ethnic structure of the district is approximately 47% Navajo, 29% Hispanic, and 24% Anglo or other. Additionally, in 1988 the district implemented a four-day week schedule to help address and accommodate students who are bussed significant distances. Over half of all MMSD students are bussed, with an average bus ride being 26 miles one way. The longest distance any one student has to travel is 70 miles one way.
