Description: Programs that promote and preserve the conditions that enable community residents to live in a safe and peaceful environment through the enforcement of laws that protect life and property and the administration of justice according to the principles of law and equity. Included are crime prevention programs as well as programs that investigate and make arrests for criminal behavior; provide support for witnesses to and victims of crimes; and provide for the arraignment, prosecution and defense, judgment, sentencing, confinement and eventual release and resettlement of offenders. Services Provided: The rental on all 75 units is income-based, i.e. family pays 30% of their adjusted income, for rent and utilities and there is adjacent parking for all units. These complexes are located next to the Armijo Senior Meal Site and First Choice Medical Complex and within one block of the new Sheriff's Sub-station. Complex One is known as El Centro Familiar Senior Housing Complex, and is a gated community with all 54 units being equipped with fire and medical alarms. Complex Two is known as Seybold Village and contains 21 handicapped accessible units.

Services Provided: Volunteer Peer Counselors age 55 and up make supportive weekly home visits to other seniors who reside in Sandoval County. Peer counselors receive training in basic counseling techniques and mental health issues and receive monthly supervision from a licensed social worker. Counselors visit their clients approximately once a week and provide not only emotional support but also referrals to resources. The program director and volunteers also provide educational programs and discussion groups at senior sites around Sandoval County.

Services Provided: The Clovis Fire Department CFD serves the citizens of Clovis and Curry County and was created in 1909 by a Municipal Ordinance. Employs 71-full-time employees, with 63 of them working three 24 hours shifts. The City is now protected by one main station and 4 substations, which are strategically located and house 5 engine companies, a rescue squad, 2 tanker units and 7 ambulances, two which provide advanced care.

Included in the resource base are seventeen parks or recreational areas encompassing 3,400 acres of which 600 acres are developed for recreational use. Services Provided: The Farmington Electric Utility System is a municipally operated system located in northwest New Mexico with a service territory of 1718 square miles encompassing the City of Farmington, most of the populated area of San Juan County including the City of Bloomfield and the San Juan River Valley west from the City to the Navajo reservation and a portion of Rio Arriba County northeast of the City. The Electric Utility also provides transmission services for the City of Aztec, which owns its own substation and distribution facilities and to Williams Field Services to wheel the generation output of their Milagro facility to the Shiprock Substation for sale in the western markets. As of fiscal year ended December 31, 2006 the Electric System served approximately 43,000 customers.

Services Provided: The Las Cruces Fire Department proudly serves New Mexico's second largest city with over 115 professional Firefighter/EMT's. The department responds to over 12,500 calls for assistance annually with six engine companies, two truck companies, a battalion chief, and several support vehicles. In addition to fire suppression and emergency medical services, we also offer special response teams that provide technical rescue services, hazardous materials response and aircraft rescue firefighting.
