Services Provided:

Presbyterian Medical Services works collaboratively with community groups, school districts, local providers, hospitals and governments at every level. They develop programs and services that meet the needs of the people living within these communities. Their services include primary care, dental, behavioral health, early childhood education, supportive living, and senior programs. PMS operate approximately 100 programs in communities throughout the state. Many of the individuals served by Presbyterian Medical Services live at or below the federal poverty level.

Comprehensive primary care services for all ages, including:

  • Well checks (newborn, infants, children, youth, adults, first trimester, gyne, through geriatrics)
  • Acute care (sick visits, respiratory, neuro, GI, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, behavioral, mental health)
  • Medicare annual visits
  • Telehealth
  • Curbsides

Procedures:

  • Respiratory/ allergy: spirometry, allergy testing
  • Genitourinary: pregnancy and STD testing
  • Women care: pelvic exams, fetal heartrate doppler ultrasound checks
  • Skin: incision and drainage of abscess wounds, wart removal, suture placement and removal
  • Infectious disease rapid tests such as :
    • Respiratory: RSV, flu A&B, Covid-19, strep
    • Genitourinary:  G-C Chlamydia, urinalysis
  • Drug testing via urine and/or blood
  • Blood tests:
    • Rapid lead, mononucleosis, hemoglobin, and random glucose tests.
    • Collections for routine (CBC, CMP, Vitamin D), genetic and multiple/specialized panels
  • Flouride varnish
  • Vision screening (visual acuity and Plusoptix)
  • Asthma evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and follow up
  • Allergy testing, diagnosis/ immunotherapy
  • Diabetes screening, diagnosis, maintenance and followup
  • Mental health screening (depression, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder)
