Disability-related social clubs and sports. Social: Organizations that provide an opportunity for individuals with disabilities to meet and socialize with others through dances, parties, picnics, barbecues, events for children and other companionable activities. Sports: Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages with functional or cognitive disabilities to learn, become competitive in and enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities and sports, many of which are played in wheelchairs or have otherwise been modified to accommodate the athletes' disabilities. Services Provided: Mission Statement: Expressions of Joy, Inc. is a non-profit organization registered with the State of NM, whose purpose is to bring the joy of singing to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or other special needs. Those individuals who are in the ages of 17 and up are welcome to join. Most of the music is taught by call and response while others are printed in notebook form. No special skills are required. Those with willing heart and spirit may come and sing.

Services Provided: Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school and college-aged kids in all 50 states.

Some Young Life areas have dedicated programs for students and young adults with disabilities, typically referred to as Young Life Capernaum. Young Life Capernaum gives young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp and other exciting activities.
