The goal of PACE is to maximize the health and functioning levels of older adults to enable them to continue to live at home and in their community. PACE is a long-term care alternative to nursing home placement. Focus is on acute patients requiring longer than average length of stay.Services include ventilator weaning, pre- and post-operative complex wound care, a traumatic brain injury program with coma stimulation, medically complex/multisystem failure management, morbid obesity management, inpatient pulmonary rehabilitation and spinal cord injury management. The Arc can direct individuals to services and programs for adults, families and children, benefits, need for and alternatives to guardianship, trusts and life time future planning, self-advocacy, self-direction and self-determination. The Arc of New Mexico provides guardianship services to persons with developmental disabilities who live in New Mexico and have no family or friends to provide support. Services Provided: DNA Peoples Legal Services is a 501c3 nonprofit legal aid organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income people who otherwise could not afford to hire an attorney. Since 1967, DNA has provided free legal aid in remote portions of three states and seven Native American nations, helping thousands of low income people annually to achieve long lasting economic stability by providing access to tribal, state and federal justice systems.DNA provides legal assistance, advice and representation in U.S. and tribal courts, promotes tribal sovereignty, and offer community education programs that promote greater understanding of the law.
