Programs that provide clinical therapeutic services, medication, daily living skills assistance and other mental health services for people who are unable to leave their homes because of the severity of their mental or emotional disturbance or the disabling effects of complicating medical conditions; for families with children experiencing a crisis that is so severe that the child is at imminent risk for hospitalization or placement in a residential treatment facility; or for people for whom home-based services are the most appropriate option. Services Provided: This program provides parenting educational services, child developmental guidance and local community resource information to families with children prenatal to three in the home or alternative locations at the familys request. Prenatal home visits provide information on health, nutrition, preparing for the birth of the child and child development. Information is also provided on attachment and relationship with infants, breastfeeding, impact of alcohol, tobacco and drugs on pregnancy, seatbelt use, birth control after pregnancy, premature labor, oral heath for mother and infant, folic acid, weight control and diabetes. All pregnant women are screened for depression and domestic violence issues. Families of children birth to three receive child developmental screenings, observation of attachment behaviors between infant/toddler and parent/caregiver, administration of a social support index to assist families with identifying informal support networks and administration of the PICCOLO to assist families with establishing positive interactions with their infants or toddlers. Referrals are provided to community agencies/services as necessary.

Services Provided: The Behavioral Health services at Las Cumbres offer a prevention-based program that promotes healthy attachment and social-emotional development in children prenatal to age 6 and their families. Services include: Infant mental health services MiHijito/MiHijita group, Play therapy, Parenting with Confidence group, Couples counseling and family therapy, Fatherhood Program, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Therapeutic Behavioral Respite Safe Exchange/Supervised Visitation. The Conjunto Preschool forms a major element of the agency's integrative early intervention strategy. This innovative preschool model equally blends students ages 3 and 4, one third have developmental disabilities or delays, one third have emotional special needs, and one third are considered as developing normally. The program promotes self-esteem, cooperative behaviors, and the constructive expression of feelings, as well as developmental growth in language, cognition, motor and self-help skills. The Family, Infant, Toddler FIT program provides a continuum of integrated developmental and therapeutic services to families who have concerns about the development of their young child ages birth to 3. FIT is part of a statewide program that provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for delays in development. This programs goal is to strengthen the capacity of families to meet the developmental and health-related needs of their infant or toddler. Services Provided: The Community Infant Program CIP provides comprehensive therapeutic home-based and center-based services with a focus on the social emotional and mental health of infants pre-natal to three and their parents and caregivers in Santa Fe County.
