Statewide Central Intake SCI is a hotline that receives reports of child abuse, neglect and exploitation. SCI is a unit within the New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department/Protective Services Division. SCI operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone who suspects that a child has been abused or neglected or is in danger of abuse or neglect is strongly encouraged to call SCI. It is important for every person to take child abuse and neglect seriously, to be able to recognize when it happens, and to know what to do when it happens. Call CYFD’s Statewide Central Intake (SCI) at 1-855-333-SAFE [7233] or #SAFE from a cell phone if it is suspected that child maltreatment is occurring.
