Programs that provide crisis, short-term and/or ongoing counseling for people who are coping with the emotional trauma of being forced to engage in sexual intercourse or other sexual acts without their consent. Counseling and support may be offered in a variety of settings and may include individual, conjoint, family and group therapy sessions for the survivor and/or significant others. Services Provided: A non-profit agency that provides medical and forensic services for sexual assault survivors and survivors of domestic violence. Specially trained nurses are on-call 27/7 to respond immediately to sexual assault and domestic violence cases. The Albuquerque SANE Collaborative coordinates closely with hospitals, community providers, district attorney offices, and police departments in Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance Counties to ensure a standardized response for victims and to raise awareness about the incidence, risk, and prevention of sexual assault and domestic violence. We will provide service to anyone regardless of residence.

Services Provided: Para Los Nios PLN provides medical evaluations for children and adolescents who have been sexually abused and sexually assaulted. This multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive medical examinations, laboratory evaluations, crisis counseling and anticipatory guidance. PLN is the primary 24 hour on call service for pediatric sexual abuse. Colposcopic exams with photographic documentation are performed on children and adolescents who have been sexually abused and assaulted. Medical examinations and services are free of charge. Our medical providers are bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Services are provided on an emergency and scheduled basis.
