Services Provided: Camp Fire USA is a not-for-profit youth development organization serving youth from birth to 21 years of age. We are inclusive, open to every person in the communities we serve, welcoming children, youth and adults regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation or other aspects of diversity. Camp Fire USA's programs are designed and implemented to reduce sex-role, racial and cultural stereotypes and to foster positive intercultural relationships. The New Mexico Council has provided school age child care since 1981. In addition, we provide programs that promote self-esteem, leadership skills, and character building.Well-trained staff are key to quality youth programming. The New Mexico Council strives to provide a work environment and a salary and benefit structure which attract high-quality individuals, promote staff longevity, encourage learning, and instill loyalty and commitment to positive youth development. Generally, we provide a 12 to 1 child to staff ratio in our school-age programs. Safety of your children is one of our major concerns. Staff are interviewed by Human Resource personnel, carefully screened through reference and criminal record checks. Staff are required to attend initial orientation, First Aid and CPR training, and participate in on-going continuing education.Now offering a Summer Adventure Camp.

Services Provided: Within this program, a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist/Therapist works closely with physicians and equipment vendors to assist individuals achieve safe driving skills. This program is applicable for any person with a physical, cognitive, learning or developmental disability who wishes to pursue or return to driving. The therapist may also assist clients with Vehicle Assessments to determine the best options for vehicle passengers with disabilities. Driving To Independence also offers Senior Safety Assessments and Home Modification Assessments and Training done by an Occupational Therapist.
