Through the Mariposa Program, UNM Children's Hospital provides in-home hospice care for children with a terminal illness, as well as emotional support for families. The pediatric hospice specialists and trained volunteers provide medical care, respite services and grief counseling support for families throughout New Mexico. Services include home visits from nurses; home health aides and social workers; 24/7 medical care; medical equipment and supplies; pediatric pain management; annual memorial service for Mariposa Program families; grief and bereavement counseling; sibling support; connection to community resources; and volunteer respite care and companionship.

Addus HomeCare provides in-home care, hospice, and home health services. They aim to providing cost-effective care and assistance that gives people the freedom to remain in their homes. Home health services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, wound care and other services. Hospice care includes social work, bereavement counseling, respite care, and other services. Addus has locations across New Mexico and includes Ambercare and other organizations.

Patients who are seriously ill or frail

Helps patients get the medical treatments they want, and avoid the medical treatments they do not want, when they are seriously ill or frail. The POLST form is a medical order emergency personnel can follow whenever, and wherever, the patient has a medical emergency and can't speak for himself/herself.

Provides referral services for families to hospice and home care services for children.
