Services Provided: Rio Grande Counseling and Guidance Services provides a recovery-treatment services called an Intensive Outpatient Program. Participants engage in a three hour group treatment setting, three days each week. We are not an "inpatient" program, so everyone goes home at the end of each group session. Our treatment program uses an effective interactive curriculum called The Matrix Model, which takes approximately 12 to 16 weeks to complete. Unfortuneately there are no "short term" fixes.Participants are encouraged to improve their personal growth and recovery through self-awareness, interpersonal expression, and self-disclosure. Family and loved ones are encouraged to participate.Relapse Prevention skills are an importatn part of recovery. All participants are provided opportunities to practice these skills in our safe peer-group setting, and in their personal lives, with our support. Our Program will provide positive and encouraging alternatives to relapse.
