The mission of the New Mexico Department of Health (NM DOH) is to ensure health equity by working with NM DOH partners to promote health and well-being, thereby improving health outcomes for all people in New Mexico. Services include Birth and Death Certificates, a Medical Cannabis program, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), an Immunization program, Health Facility Licensing & Certification, and Developmental Disabilities programming. Working with their partners, NM DOH Human Services Department designs and delivers innovative, high quality health and human services that improve the security and promote independence for New Mexicans in their communities. The Human Services Department provides services and benefits to 1,107,169 New Mexicans through several programs including Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), child support, and several behavioral health services.
