Services Provided: Back in Use is a program that recycles and helps community members get access to assistive technology AT devices and computers. Back in Use specializes in acquiring, inspecting, sanitizing and distributing used durable medical equipment. AT devices include manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, scooters, canes, crutches, walkers, shower chairs, toilet seats, Hoyer lifts, hospital beds, communication devices, recreational devices, visual equipment, and hearing equipment. Through the website www.backinuse.com individuals request usable equipment and those with equipment can donate. The cost of necessities like wheelchairs, are out of reach for many people, and equipment often serves its purpose for only a short time. As a persons condition worsens, expensive items gather dust. Back in Use offers a simple solution. We accept donations of computers, shower chairs, and walkers and give them to people free of charge. Our team is experienced in supporting people with disabilities and we are Microsoft Registered for refurbishing computer. We appreciate donations to help keep this cost-effective program collecting vital items and getting them Back in Use for people in need.
