Services Provided: Ronald McDonald House provides lodging for out of town families who have children under active medical care in Albuquerque. A donation of $15 a night is requested, plus a refundable $5 key deposit. Families stay in rooms with private bathrooms. There are free laundry facilities, large communal kitchens, indoor and outdoor play areas and several sitting areas for guest comfort. Rooms are assigned on a first-come first-served basis with no reservations.

The Emergency Food and Shelter Program EFSP supplements and expands the work of local social service agencies to help people with economic not disaster-related emergencies. In San Juan County, a Local Board governs the EFSP. During fiscal year 2007-2008, funding will help to provide more than 1,236 meals in mass feeding at the Daily Bread, provide nutritious food supplement through Catholic Charities and food at the Foodbank, over 5,900 nights of shelter, and over hundreds of families can be helped with rent and utility assistance.

Homewise knows a home of your own is more than the wood, tile and stucco that go into it. It's a place to raise a family, be a part of a community, and build wealth through home equity. Buying a home can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your lifetime. By providing opportunities for successful homeownership through home purchase, home repair and education, Homewise helps New Mexican families realize their dreams of owning a home. Homewise assits families in purchasing a home with a complete service from financial counseling towards homeownership, FREE classes in homebuyer education, on staff realtors to assist in selecting a home and a complete lending service providing fixed 30-year mortgages. Additionally Homewise assists existing homeowners with energy and water conserving repairs to their homes including roofing, stucco, windows and doors, heating and cooling, solar domestic hot water, insulation and and Energy Star appliances. The Homewise Home Improvement department also provides disability modiufications to existing homeowners. Homewise was founded in 1986. Homewise also builds affordable , energy-efficient and water conserving homes. Since its founding, Homewise has helped o over 2,400 people purchase homes o over 1,750 people keep their homes by providing financial and technical assistance for home repair o trained and counseled more than 8,460 people toward successful homeownership o built over 468 affordable, energy-efficient homes Homewise maximizes value for its customers by providing all the services necessary to create homeowners who can successfully manage their real-estate asset to increase their household wealth. All Homewise services are provided in English and Spanish.

Services Provided: The location at 404 Hunter Street in Espanola offers the following services: The Behavioral Health services at Las Cumbres offer a prevention-based program that promotes healthy attachment and social-emotional development in children prenatal to age 6 and their families. Services include: Infant mental health services MiHijito/MiHijita group Play therapy Parenting with Confidence group Couples counseling and family therapy Fatherhood Program Dialectical Behavior Therapy Therapeutic Behavioral Respite Safe Exchange/Supervised Visitation The Conjunto Preschool forms a major element of the agencys integrative early intervention strategy. This innovative preschool model equally blends students ages 3 and 4, one third have developmental disabilities or delays, one third have emotional special needs, and one third are considered as developing normally. The program promotes self-esteem, cooperative behaviors, and the constructive expression of feelings, as well as developmental growth in language, cognition, motor and self-help skills. The Family, Infant, Toddler FIT program provides a continuum of integrated developmental and therapeutic services to families who have concerns about the development of their young child ages birth to 3. FIT is part of a statewide program that provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for delays in development. This programs goal is to strengthen the capacity of families to meet the developmental and health-related needs of their infant or toddler. The FIT staff works with children and their families to achieve optimal physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Families also are encouraged and mentored by staff to develop healthy, positive, and nurturing relationships with their children. Services include: Evaluation and assessment Developmental consultation and counseling Family education Home visits Community Resource Center of materials on child development Speech, occupational, and/or physical therapy The Fatherhood Program Padres Unidos focuses on helping men become engaged, committed, and responsible fathers to their children. The program welcomes any father of any age and any background with any needs. The program consists of three parts: An education and support group centered on parenting skills, co-parenting communication, child development, discipline techniques, father rights, legal rights and responsibilities, and supporting a healthy parent child relationship Individual, couples, and family therapy Case management services to help fathers with such issues as education enrollment, resume building, job searches, and resource allocation 10/16/2012

Services Provided: Las Cumbres Adult Services division offers a number of integrated programs that provide residential, employment, day habilitation and community membership opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities in Rio Arriba, Los Alamos, and northern Santa Fe Counties. Las Cumbres offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live as independently as possible while actively participating in community life. Services aim to enhance quality of life through improvements in the following areas: self-sufficiency exposure to a wide variety of life experiences involvement in their community health and safety ability to develop social relationships self-confidence problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Individuals receive staff assistance at whatever level they need and prefer in consonance with their personal needs, desires, and vision for their future. Supported Living offers round-the-clock services enabling adults with developmental disabilities to live in a home setting. Customized In Home Support staff provide comprehensive supports to clients living in their own homes or with family members. Community Integrated Employment provides ongoing services to persons with disabilities who could not otherwise maintain paid employment in regular, integrated work settings in the community. Day Habilitation provides adults with disabilities a safe, supportive environment where they can learn new skills, socialize with peers, and engage in new activities. Customized Community supports engages clients in activities that promote self-determination, increase independence, bring enjoyment, and enhance the persons ability to interact with and contribute to their community.

Services Provided: Las Cumbres' 24-hour residential services support individuals at two residential sites in Los Alamos County. The Supported Living program enables eight adults with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes in Los Alamos area. Staff support in Supported Living varies, depending upon individuals needs. Some individuals in Supported Living have intense behavioral and medical needs and require staff assistance for all daily living skills. Other individuals are more independent and require less assistance. Supported Living staff members are available 24-hours per day, 365 days a year, including holidays.

It began as the Eddy County Community Action Corporation. Currently, programs are provided in Eddy, Otero, Chaves, Lea and Lincoln Counties. The agency objective focuses on enabling people to achieve self-sufficiency and providing them with the resources to achieve that goal. The agency has developed programs which produce immediate and tangible benefits that provide support and assistance to those in the community who are in need of, and eligible for, services. Community action is about real people with real stories. The loan program provides loan guarantees and interest rate subsidies through an agreement with the Technology Loan Council, First Community Bank and the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Interest rates are currently at 2.25%. The New Mexico Seed loan Program is supported by Federal and State funds on deposit with the State Treasury.

Today, Tierra del Sol continues in its rich-laden history of self help housing in rural Dona Ana County and in urban settings such as in the City of Las Cruces, New Mexico. It housing services has greatly expanded from its early years and today, Tierra del Sol is a leading producer of affordable housing in New Mexico. Villa del Norte consists of forty-eight 1 bedroom apartments and two 2 bedroom apartments. ADA-access units are available. All apartments have gas ranges, refrigerators and refrigerated air conditioning. The grounds are nicely landscaped with trees, shrubs and grass. A full-time maintenance staff takes care of the apartments and grounds, maintaining a high standard of excellence. There are laundry facilities, a soda machine and a community center on the premises.

Services Provided: The mission of Albuquerque Housing is to preserve the quality of housing owned and occupied by low and moderate-income families and to continue to expand and revitalize older neighborhoods within the City, Albuquerque Housing Services provides perpetual deferred loans and low interest loans to qualified low and moderate-income homeowners. The loans are made for the purpose of rehabilitating residential properties. Family income and family size determine the type of loan a person may qualify to receive. The money you receive must be used to pay for rehabilitation costs. These costs include: Labor and materials used to rehab your property and bring it up to City Code. The loan processing includes title search, insurance, appraisals, surveys and recording fees. The loan money cannot be used to pay for minor or cosmetic repairs or property taxes.

Metropolitan Homeless Project provides transitional housing to veterans and respite care for men who experience homelessness and have recently suffered from major illness or are recuperating from major surgery.
