We are a Trauma Informed Agency whose main focus is to help Victims of Domestic Violence break the cycle of abuse in their lives. Each department, Advocacy, Case Management & Counseling are all here to provide resources, help, guidance and support to help victims get safe, become independent and heal. Our goal is to help a victim break the cycle of violence and heal in order to have healthy relationships in their future. DVRC, Inc. is here to Empower Victims of Domestic Violence and Engage the Community to End the Cycle of Domestic Violence through Education and Prevention. We work with multiple community organizations to help provide resources, legal help, financial resources and help in order to get a victim safe & work with them to rebuild their life after domestic violence.

Coordinates local and national responses to domestic violence, working closely with the New Mexico state legislature to enact policies, processes, protocol and laws. The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NMCADV) provides support and assistance to domestic violence programs across the state.

The NMCADV does not provide direct victim services, and can only offer referrals for services and programs in the State of New Mexico. Referrals may include agencies who offer Immediate Shelter/Housing & transitional housing, mailing service to receive mail, Individual advocacy, legal advocacy, support groups, financial literacy, career programs, substance use counselors & counseling, and much more. NMCADV additional provides referral to "Offender Treatment Programs" to hold offenders accountable and change perpetrator behavior.

We are committed to protecting the safety of adults who are not able to protect themselves and to promoting the personal choice and self-determination of all we serve.

If you suspect an adult is being abused, neglected, or exploited, call Adult Protective Services Statewide Intake, toll-free at 1-866-654-3219 or 1-505-476-4912.

New Mexico has a “Duty to Report” provision in the Adult Protective Services Act (27-7-30) which states: “Any person, or financial institution, having reasonable cause to believe that an incapacitated adult is being abused, neglected or exploited shall immediately report that information to Adult Protective Services.” Adult Protective Services remains on call for emergent reports of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

There are 5 Adult Protective Services Regions serving all 33 counties of New Mexico.

Receives reports of alleged abuse, neglect, self-neglect or
financial exploitation and determines if the client is eligible.
a. Investigates the allegations through interviewing the client, collateral contacts, alleged abuser(s) and through examining, evidence such as medical and bank records.
b. Addresses emergency needs for food, shelter or law enforcement protection,
c. Determines whether abuse is occurring or not. If it is not, the case is closed,
d. If it is, develops a case plan, with the client, to stop the abuse, and to address the client’s health and safety needs through services such as medical or mental health treatment, housing assistance, legal assistance, financial assistance, personal care, and home delivered meals.

The New Mexico Resource and Referral Guide for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning/Queer (LGBTQ) Students was developed in collaboration with New Mexico Youth Education on Sexual Health (YESH) Advisory Council. The guide is intended to be a resource for teachers and school staff to help refer middle and high school students to services in New Mexico. The contents of this guide were developed under a grant from the Health and Human Services Department, Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Home Rehabilitation Program Assistance Guidelines
The Home Rehabilitation Program offers two options to assist Las Cruces families with low and moderate-incomes:

Owner-occupant families may secure a zero-interest loan or grant to fund needed home improvements that address health and safety issues.
The Mobile Home Ramp Installation Program enables low and moderate-income residents who live in a mobile home and have a qualifying disability to have an ADA-approved wheelchair ramp constructed at their home.
