A STABLE Account is an investment account available to eligible individuals with disabilities. STABLE Accounts allow individuals with disabilities to save and invest money without losing eligibility for certain public benefits programs, like Medicaid or SSI. Earnings in STABLE Accounts are not subject to federal income tax, so long as the account holder utilizes resources for “Qualified Disability Expenses.” STABLE Accounts are investment accounts, similar to 529 college savings accounts or 401(k) retirement accounts. A STABLE Account also allows the account holder to grow money and save long-term for disability expenses. ABLE New Mexico is New Mexico's ABLE plan. Although STABLE Accounts are available nationwide, ABLE New Mexico is only available to New Mexico residents.

Federal law requires each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) provide consumers a free credit report every 12 months if interested. This website allows users to request a credit report from any or all of the companies annually.
