Services Provided: The CSB manages the statewide Aspiration Prevention Program in the interest of reducing preventable aspiration in people with developmental disabilities. This program assists in the identification of risk factors, recognition of symptoms and implementation of prevention interventions. Services Provided: Provides grants of up to $250 to fund Assistive Technology that supports participation in functional life activities. Any New Mexican with a developmental disability may apply for a grant that meets the criteria for functional participation. The yearly funding cycle starts July 1 and ends June 30 of the next year. Funds are distributed each year on a first come, first serve basis until the funds are exhausted.

Services Provided: AAC Loan Bank offers SLPs Speech Language Pathologists the opportunity to borrow one or two devices, for 30 days, free of charge. These devices may be used during evaluations to assess for the appropriateness of features that match those of devices currently available from commercial vendors. Language encoding systems, voice output features and physical access to the device may be assessed with available devices. After this evaluation, a request may be made for the individual's insurance plan to pay for rental of the specific device recommended. Technical assistance is available from the SLP consultant to the Therapy Services Unit to determine which devices may be most appropriate for assessment purposes. Switch Evaluation Kit offers therapists a variety of switches and switch operated devices to assess an appropriate type of switch for an individual's use. This kit is for assessment purposes only and is free of charge. Adaptive Eating Equipment Loan Bank offers therapists an array of adapted utensils, dishes and drinking vessels for assessment purposes. Access to this equipment is free of charge.

Services Provided: Provides support and guidance to individuals, interdisciplinary teams IDT and families regarding safe and healthy eating or tube feeding. Any New Mexican with a developmental disability may be referred to this clinic. The multidisciplinary SAFE Clinic Team is comprised of a nutritionist, a physician, a physical therapist and speech-language pathologist. The team provides expertise in the areas of medical support, nutritional analysis, seating and positioning and oral-motor/swallowing function. Each clinic is designed to meet the needs of the referred individual. Recommendations are made for appropriate seating and positioning, eating/feeding techniques, adapted eating equipment, nutritional support and medical support.

Services Provided: Public transportation service for the Clovis area. Through a cooperative effort, the City of Clovis, NM Public Transportation Programs Bureau, NM Department of Labor and NM Department of Human Services fund the delivery of services within the city limits. CATS provides curb to curb service. Reservations are requested a minimum of 1 day in advance, but should be made as early as possible to ensure the time requested can be granted. The passenger's out-of-pocket fare is 50 per trip with the above mentioned agencies funding the balance of the cost. Service is accessible to disabled persons. At the time the reservation is made the clerk should be made aware of the type of assistance that is required. At the present time CATS does not have fixed route service nor fixed bus stops. All service is demand response and reservations must be booked in advance.

Services Provided: The Clovis Fire Department CFD serves the citizens of Clovis and Curry County and was created in 1909 by a Municipal Ordinance. Employs 71-full-time employees, with 63 of them working three 24 hours shifts. Services Provided: The Farmington Electric Utility System is a municipally operated system located in northwest New Mexico with a service territory of 1718 square miles encompassing the City of Farmington, most of the populated area of San Juan County including the City of Bloomfield and the San Juan River Valley west from the City to the Navajo reservation and a portion of Rio Arriba County northeast of the City. The Electric Utility also provides transmission services for the City of Aztec, which owns its own substation and distribution facilities and to Williams Field Services to wheel the generation output of their Milagro facility to the Shiprock Substation for sale in the western markets. As of fiscal year ended December 31, 2006 the Electric System served approximately 43,000 customers.
