Services Provided: The Brain Injury Association of New Mexico is not a direct provider of services to persons with brain injury. As a private non-profit agency we do offer information, contacts and indirect assistance for families looking for support and other direct services. It is the Aging and Long Term Services which funds The New Mexico TBI Program, a regionalized community-based services for persons with traumatic brain injuries. Services include specialized TBI Case Management to assist individuals and family members in accessing necessary services. The TBI Program offers specialized Life Skills training designed to assist consumers in learning or relearning skills such as money management, cooking, or anger management. The Crisis Interim Fund which serves as a payer of last resort and provides funding for needed services and items. The application for the New Mexico TBI Program from their website listed above. All of these programs are funded by the Traumatic Brain Injury Services Fund.

Services Provided: Consumer Direct Personal Care supports a philosophy of individuals being in control of their services and supports.Personal care is available to individuals 21 years of age or older who need personal care assistance in their own home.Receiving home care your way allows you to:Stay in controlRemain in your home and communityMaintain comfort, familiarity and connections with your family and communityDecide how and when to receive care, depending on your needsParticipate in how your services are deliveredSelect and work directly with your caregiverChoose your caregiver who may be a trusted friend, neighbor or relativeThe consumer-directed personal care program, allows qualifying recipients Consumers to choose a provider agency to assist them with hiring, training and scheduling their caregivers. CDPC performs fiscal intermediary functions for the Consumer, including processing time sheets, billing, and caregiver payroll. As a Mi Via Consultant Agency, Consumer Direct provides consultant services to Mi Via Waiver participants. Assistance with development of a plan and budget is provided within rgulartory guidelines while the participant remains in control of which goods and services are purchased and from whom.
