Services Provided: Las Cumbres Adult Services division offers a number of integrated programs that provide residential, employment, day habilitation and community membership opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities in Rio Arriba, Los Alamos, and northern Santa Fe Counties. Las Cumbres offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live as independently as possible while actively participating in community life. Services aim to enhance quality of life through improvements in the following areas: self-sufficiency exposure to a wide variety of life experiences involvement in their community health and safety ability to develop social relationships self-confidence problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Individuals receive staff assistance at whatever level they need and prefer in consonance with their personal needs, desires, and vision for their future. Supported Living offers round-the-clock services enabling adults with developmental disabilities to live in a home setting. Customized In Home Support staff provide comprehensive supports to clients living in their own homes or with family members. Community Integrated Employment provides ongoing services to persons with disabilities who could not otherwise maintain paid employment in regular, integrated work settings in the community. Day Habilitation provides adults with disabilities a safe, supportive environment where they can learn new skills, socialize with peers, and engage in new activities. Customized Community supports engages clients in activities that promote self-determination, increase independence, bring enjoyment, and enhance the persons ability to interact with and contribute to their community.

Services Provided: The Parent Infant Child Program formerly called the Step Hi program believes that children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing can become skilled community leaders who are self confident and independent. Families receive home visits from a parent adviser who provides information, support and helps families make informed choices regarding communication for their child. The Deaf Mentor Program provides an adult who is deaf or hard-or-hearing to help families understand the issues their child might face. They provide parent support, contacts so other families can talk to each other. They also offer a lending library and a loaner hearing aid bank.

Services Provided: The Community Infant Program CIP provides comprehensive therapeutic home-based and center-based services with a focus on the social emotional and mental health of infants pre-natal to three and their parents and caregivers in Santa Fe County. Licensed Masters-level therapists provide assessment, intervention, education, and treatment through home visits or in groups held on site. Through involvement with CIP, most parents and/or caregivers show much greater understanding of their child's behavior, development, and non-verbal cues. Services Provided: Pediatric Pulmonology sees patients with any pediatric respiratory problems including cystic fibrosis, asthma, neuromuscular diseases, pediatric rheumatologic diseases, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, ventilator dependence, tracheostomy dependence, sleep disorders, bronchiectasis, and chronic lung disease. We do airway evaluations via bronchoscopy and have full pulmonary function facilities. The UNM Sleep Center is accredited for pediatric sleep studies. Services Provided: By statute, the court may extend a judgment of probation for one year until the youth reaches the age of 21 if the court finds that it is necessary to protect the community or the youth’s welfare. Probation is a court-order through which a juvenile is placed under the control, supervision and care of a probation field staff member in lieu of facility commitment, so long as the probationer meets certain standards of conduct. Aftercare (formerly parole) refers to the term of supervision that occurs once a juvenile is conditionally released to the community after serving a facility commitment term. Clients in aftercare are subject to being returned to detention or facility placement for rule violations or other offenses.
