Services Provided: ARCA offers a comprehensive array of residential, employment and day activities for indviduals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. InterCare homes provide 24-hour supervision for people with development disabilities in a licensed intermediate care facility ICF-MR. InterCare homes have between 4 and ten residents. ARCA also offers services funded through the NM DD Waiver including residential which may include 24 support in a community home or living with a family, customized in-home support periodic support in the person's own home, supported employment, and community inclusion day activity programs. Services Provided: Carrie Tingley Hospital is the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the state, housing a 24-bed inpatient unit in the Barbara and Bill Richardson Pavilion. We conduct more than 21 specialized clinics ranging in emphasis from brain and spinal cord injuries to development and neurological conditions to juvenile arthritis and clinical genetics. We also provide numerous therapy rooms, Gait labs, wheelchair evaluations, and braces or prosthetics.Children, particularly those with chronic conditions, need specialized healthcare focusing on their unique needs in a child-friendly place. Hospitalized children with chronic and often life-threatening diseases need quick, easy access to surgical and imaging services available at the Pavilion. Services Provided: RN Case Management Program: The Medically Fragile Case Management Program provides Registered Nurse Case Management/Service Coordination services statewide for children who are Medically fragile and their families via nine satellite offices. The case managers use a family centered approach to care, and through collaborative partnerships act as advocates, resource persons, facilitators, and paperwork coordinators for families. Case managers support parents as team leaders who address the day-to-day care of their child. The services in the community and through the Medically Fragile EPSDT and Medically Fragile Waiver support families in their decision to care for their child who is medically fragile in their home. Services Provided: A Medicaid Waiver allows a state, such as New Mexico, to "waive" certain regulations governing certain types of Medicaid services, Medicaid provider requirements and eligibility requirements. A Medicaid Waiver is specifically designed to provide services reimbursable under Medicaid to a targeted population, who in the absence of the Waiver would require services in an institution. A combination of medical eligibility and financial eligibility determines an individual's eligibility for Waiver Programs.

Services Provided: This program provides parenting educational services, child developmental guidance and local community resource information to families with children prenatal to three in the home or alternative locations at the familys request. Prenatal home visits provide information on health, nutrition, preparing for the birth of the child and child development. Information is also provided on attachment and relationship with infants, breastfeeding, impact of alcohol, tobacco and drugs on pregnancy, seatbelt use, birth control after pregnancy, premature labor, oral heath for mother and infant, folic acid, weight control and diabetes. All pregnant women are screened for depression and domestic violence issues. Families of children birth to three receive child developmental screenings, observation of attachment behaviors between infant/toddler and parent/caregiver, administration of a social support index to assist families with identifying informal support networks and administration of the PICCOLO to assist families with establishing positive interactions with their infants or toddlers. Referrals are provided to community agencies/services as necessary.
